みなさんは日本の応援ソングを聴いたことがありますか。人生にはいろいろなことがありますが、大変なとき、日本人はよく応援ソングを聴いて元気になる人が多いような気がします。今回は私が大好きな応援ソングを紹介します。皆さんの心に響いたら嬉しいです。

Have you listened to Japanese cheer songs? Many things happen in our life but often Japanese people seem to get motivated again by listening to this kind of songs at their hard time. I would like to introduce my favourite Japanese cheer song. I hope it will resonate in your heart.

「ゆず」の「栄光の架橋」という歌を初めて聞いた時、こんなきれいな歌があるんだと感動しました。あまりJ-ポップを聞かないんですが、この歌を聴くとやる気が出るのでとても好きです。まずは歌詞を紹介します。こちらのYouTubeのリンクから聞けます。

I was absolutely impressed when I first listened to this beautiful song called ‘Eiko no Kakehashi’ by ‘Yuzu’. I don’t listen to J-Pop often but I love this song as it is fully inspiring.  I would like to introduce the lyrics below. Please listen to the song from this YouTube LINK.

自分の心を大切に人生を歩んでいくことはとても大切だと思います。疲れたときやうまくできない時は一度休めば、十分なエネルギーを蓄えられ、新しいアイデアが浮かんだりし、それからまた歩き出せばいいんですね。　

I think it is important to walk(live) our own life by following our heart. Of course we should stop and rest when things do not work and when we get tired. After that, we can get fully charged, we might hit on new ideas even and we can start walking again.

思えば、私も今までいろいろなことを乗り越えて今があると実感しています。特にイギリスの大学院で英語で卒業論文を書いたり、就活をしたり、大学で教えたり、イギリスでビジネスをしたりと正直、「平らな道ではなかった」ですね。でも、日本が好きなみなさんをサポートしたいという強い思いだけは変わらず、ずっとがんばってきました。これからも次のステージに向かって進んでいきたいと思いますので、応援よろしくお願いします。

Actually, I got over so many things in the past. Especially in the UK, my English was utterly poor but I went through a dissertation for the masters course, job-hunting, lecturing and doing business all in English. To be honest, ‘it was not a flat and easy path’, but I have never lost my passion for supporting those who love Japan and I have been challenging for many years. I am now motivated to move on to the next stage and I sincerely appreciate your warm support.
